LIFFE LIFFE [laɪf] noun FINANCE ORGANIZATIONS

London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange; the former name of a market for futures (= contracts to buy something at a fixed price for delivery on a fixed date), and option S (= the right to buy shares, currencies etc at a fixed price during a particular period of time). It was taken over by Euronext in 2002 and is now called Euronext.liffe
